Suttsu [town] - Suttsu
A town in Suttsu County, Hokkaido. It is located on the western coast at the base of the Oshima Peninsula, and its main settlements are Suttsu, Utasutsu, and Isoya. Suttsu, a good port facing Suttsu Bay, prospered in the Meiji period through herring fishing. It also produces sea urchin seedlings, breeds salmon and trout, and produces asparagus and potatoes. It is home to the scenic Benkei Cape. 95.24 km2 . 3,443 people (2010).
