[1] 〘Noun〙① A double-leaf wooden door at the side entrance of a palace in the Shinden- zukuri style. ※Utsubo (c. 970-999) Rojojo: “Looking in, I saw that the blinds on the east side window were raised and no one was there.”② A double-leaf wooden door at the end of a house. ※Soga Monogatari (c. 970-999) 9: “Saemon-no-jo secretly pushed open the blinds of the tatami room where the house was left.”[2] Another name for the Noh play “Raiden.” It is also called “Raiden.” Kongo-ryu. The vengeful spirit of Sugawara no Michizane, who died in Dazaifu, visited the head priest of Mount Hiei, Hosshobo Son’i, and declared his intention to turn into thunder and enter the palace to take revenge. When his help was refused, he became angry and blew a pomegranate from his mouth into the side door, and disappeared when he saw it burst into flames. ※Miscellany, Yanagi Taru-24 (1791) "No pomegranate eaters left after seeing the wife's house"

[1] 〘名〙① 寝殿造りで、殿舎の側面の出入口に設けた、両開きの板製の扉。※宇津保(970‐999頃)楼上上「のぞき給へば、東(ひんがし)のつまどのすだれあげて人もなし」② 家の端の方にある両開きの板戸。※曾我物語(南北朝頃)九「左衛門尉がふしたる屋形のつまとを、ひそかにおしひらき」[2] 謡曲「雷電(らいでん)」の異称。「来殿」ともいう。金剛流。大宰府で没した菅原道真の怨霊が比叡山の座主法性坊尊意僧正のもとを訪ね、宮廷に雷となって飛び入り復讐する意志を述べ、その援助を断わられると、怒って妻戸に口にふくんだ石榴(ざくろ)の実を吹きかけ、それが火となって燃え上がるのを見て消える。※雑俳・柳多留‐二四(1791)「妻戸見て残たざくろ喰人なし」
