Born on July 8, 1867. In 1893, he became editor-in-chief of the Niroku Shinpo newspaper, founded by Akiyama Teisuke. In 1902, he founded the Toyo Hinode Shimbun newspaper in Nagasaki, where he became president. In 1902, he became a member of the House of Representatives. He supported Sun Yat-sen's Xinhai Revolution. He passed away on December 10, 1926, at the age of 60. He was from Nihonmatsu, Mutsu (Fukushima prefecture). His real name was Chikara.
