Japanese: スイロク(水鹿) - スイロク（英語表記）sambar

A mammal of the Cervidae family in the order Artiodactyla. Also called the sambar. A large deer with three pointed antlers, found widely in India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, the Malay Peninsula, the Philippines, etc. Its body color is usually brown, but some are blackish brown or almost black. It prefers to live near water in forests, going out to drink water every day, and is also good at swimming. It has a body length of 170-270 cm, a tail length of 22-35 cm, and a weight of 150-315 kg. However, those that live on islands such as the Philippines are relatively small, with a body length of 100-115 cm and a weight of 40-60 kg.
