An engine (internal combustion engine) that uses hydrogen as fuel. Its basic structure is the same as gasoline and diesel engines, but unlike gasoline engines, it does not require a carburetor. Currently, with very few exceptions, all engine fuels are petroleum products, and as demand for hydrogen increases in the future and petroleum reserves decrease, there will naturally be a shortage of fuel. At the same time, the damage caused by air pollution from combustion gases is also a major problem. In contrast, hydrogen can be produced from any energy source, including coal and natural gas, as well as atomic, solar, and wave energy, and it is also possible to make it non-polluting, so many researchers are conducting research into the most efficient, safe, and easy-to-use hydrogen engines.
