Feminity test

Japanese: フェミニティテスト（英語表記）feminity test

A test given to women in separate sports. It is also commonly called a sex check. Generally, after puberty, males have better developed muscular and skeletal structures than females, while women have more fat mass, so males have 20-40% more athletic ability, such as muscle strength. For this reason, most sports are separated by gender. However, some people who have become hermaphrodites due to an abnormality in the process of sexual differentiation can become excellent athletes when they compete as women.

男女別の競技に際し，女性に対して行われるテスト。俗にセックスチェックsex checkともいう。一般に思春期をすぎた男性は女性よりも筋肉･骨格などの運動器官の発達が優れ，一方，女性は脂肪量が多いため，筋力などの運動能力は男性の方が20～40％高い。このため，大部分の競技は男女別に行われる。ところが，性分化の過程に異常が生じて，男性半陰陽となった人が，女性として競技を行うと，優れた選手となることがある。
