A collection of historical materials on the finances and economy of the Edo period compiled by Katsu Kaishu. 35 volumes. In 1887 (Meiji 20), at the request of Finance Minister Matsukata Masayoshi and with the Ministry of Finance's financial support, Kaishu sought cooperation and contributions from former Shogunate officials based on the historical materials he had collected before the Meiji Restoration, and collected official documents, laws, private notes, talks, essays, etc. of the Shogunate, and after examining the selected historical materials, he faithfully compiled the collection. It was presented to the Ministry of Finance in the same year and published by the ministry in 1890. It is divided into 19 sections, including the Imperial Family, provinces and counties, population and national tax, flood control, rice, military service, currency, foreign trade, mines, the Tokugawa clan, and various regions. Later, 10 volumes of "Fukijin Yoroku" were compiled and published at the same time. The materials are mainly from the Shogunate Accounting Office, and the records on population, financial balance, coinage, gold and silver production, imports, etc. are valuable. Both are included in the "Kaishū Zenshu" (volumes 3-4).
