Xin-min cong-bao; Hsin-min ts`ung-pao
A semimonthly enlightened magazine published in Yokohama in the late Qing Dynasty by Chinese in Japan who were reformists (reformists). It was first published in January 1902. It ceased publication in October 1903, with a total of 96 issues. Liang Qichao was the editor-in-chief and Feng Zishan the editor and publisher. It took over from Qing Yibao, which ceased publication in 1927, and promoted reformist ideas for the sake of enlightenment, as well as the introduction of modern Western thought. In particular, when Minbao was launched in 1906 as the organ of the China Revolutionary Alliance, a fierce debate unfolded between the two.
