Shinju Mannenso - Double Suicide
Joruri. Domestic drama. Three volumes. Written by Chikamatsu Monzaemon. First performed at the Takemotoza Theater in Osaka in 1710. A dramatization of the love suicide at Mt. Koya between Narita Kumenosuke, a temple page at Kisshoin Temple in Koyasan, and Oume, the daughter of Saikaya at the foot of the mountain.
