Predionica

...The early agricultural cultures of Starčevo, dating from the second half of the 6th millennium BC, and Vinča, which followed, are standard sites, and the predecessor Lepenski Vir has yielded ceremonial remains, including stone sculptures depicting human faces, which are valuable examples of the spiritual life of people in the hunter-gatherer era. A small clay statue with emphasized eyes and nose from the second half of the 2nd millennium BC was unearthed in Predionica, near Pristina, Kosovo, and from the Illyrian period, a bronze vessel dating to around 500 BC with hammered depictions of daily life and animals was excavated from Vače, east of Ljubljana in central Slovenia. Furthermore, metalwork and other artifacts showing the influence of Greek Archaic art have been excavated from Trebenište, north of Lake Ohrid in southern Macedonia, and Novi Pazar in southern Serbia, proving the influence of Greek culture inland prior to the founding of Greek colonies on the Adriatic coast, such as Hērakleia (now Bitola, southern Macedonia) by King Philip II of Macedonia, and Tragourion (now Trogir, southern Dalmatia).
