Immigration control (English: immigration)

Japanese: 出入国管理 - しゅつにゅうこくかんり（英語表記）immigration

National control over the entry, landing, residence, and departure of foreigners into a country's territory, as well as the departure and return of its own citizens. In Japan, these are regulated by the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act, and the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice and the Regional Immigration Bureaus are responsible for these affairs. Together with customs and quarantine, they are collectively referred to as CIQ (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine).
