Jilin - Shunei

A municipal district in the central Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China. Located in the southeast of Ulanqab, it is the seat of the city's government. It has a population of 315,428 (2014). The city is the intersection of the Jingbao Line (Beijing-Baotou), the Second Line (Jining-Erenhot) leading to Mongolia and Russia, and the Jining Line connecting to Tongliao City. After the Jingbao Line was opened in 1922, it became a distribution center for agricultural and livestock products, and urbanization began. After the Second Line was completed at the end of 1955, it rapidly developed as a city, and Jining City was established in 1956. In 2003, when Ulanqab League (second-level administrative district) became a prefecture-level city, it became the municipal district of Ulanqab. It is still one of the centers of the surrounding regional economy as a distribution center for agricultural and livestock products and industrial products. In addition to a modern meat processing complex, there are breweries, wool factories, coal mining factories, and a thermal power plant.

中国北部、内モンゴル自治区中部の市轄区。ウランチャブ市南東部にあり、同市の政府所在地。人口31万5428（2014）。京包線（北京(ペキン)―パオトウ）とモンゴル、ロシアに通じる集二線（集寧―エレンホト）および通遼(つうりょう)市と結ぶ集通線が同市で交わる。1922年京包線が開通してから、農畜産物の集散地となり、都市化が始まった。1955年末に集二線が完成したのち都市として急速に発展し、1956年集寧市が設置された。2003年ウランチャブ盟（二級行政区）がウランチャブ地級市になるのに伴い、その市轄区となった。現在も農畜産品および工業製品の集散地として周辺地方経済の中心の一つとなっている。近代的な肉類加工コンビナートのほか、醸造業、毛織物業、石炭工業があり、火力発電所も設けられている。
