〘Noun〙 A dance that is said to have been introduced from China during the Edo period. It is performed on the 15th day of the New Year, the first day of the New Year. A large papier-mache dragon is made from cloth or paper, and several or a dozen people parade around holding it above their heads on poles. The dragon dance (Jaodori) that remains at the "Okunchi" festival in Nagasaki City is famous today. *Nagasaki Saijiki (1797) "The 15th day of the New Year <abbreviated> At the Tang Dynasty mansion, there is an event called the " Ja Otori" (snake bait) ."
