Seiro [town] - Seiro
A town in Kitakanbara County in northern Niigata Prefecture. It borders Shibata City, occupies the Kaji River basin, and faces the Sea of ​​Japan. The town cultivates rice, fruits, and vegetables, and is prolific in producing Nijisseiki pears and grapes. Niigata East Port was built in 1969, and a thermal power plant and an oil storage facility are located here. Area: 37.58 km2 . Population: 13,724 (2010).
