Born in the Genbun era (1736-41), the author describes in 56 items the changes in Edo customs he witnessed from Enkyo (1744-48) to Tenmei (1781-89). There is a comparative description with the Kyowa era (1801-04), and illustrations are included here and there. It touches on music such as Bungo-bushi, various performing arts, people such as Nihonzaemon, Shidoken, and Shaka-ga-take (a sumo wrestler), and objects such as parasols, flower hairpins, and kiseru. 随筆。森山孝盛著。1802年(享和2)の自序がある。元文年間(1736‐41)に生まれた著者が延享(1744‐48)から天明(1781‐89)ころまでに見聞した江戸の風俗の変遷を個条書きで56項目にわたって記述したもの。享和(1801‐04)ころと比較の叙述があり,所々にさし絵も入っている。豊後節などの音曲,諸芸能,日本左衛門,志道軒,釈迦ヶ嶽(相撲取)などの人物,日傘,花かんざし,きせるなどの器物に触れる。
