Japanese: 資金管理 - しきんかんり

A general term for planning and control activities carried out regarding a company's long-term and short-term funds, the flow of procurement and investment over a specific period of time, and the balance at a specific point in time. It is divided into financial planning and financial control. Depending on the purpose of fund management, one of the following funds concepts is selected: cash, monetary assets, total working capital, or net working capital. In either case, financial planning requires predicting and comparing capital costs, and selecting and determining the most rational combination of funds procurement from various internal and external sources and various forms of investment, while placing emphasis on financial liquidity and financial safety.

企業の長期･短期資金について，特定期間における調達･運用のフローや特定時点の在高をめぐって展開される計画設定活動や統制活動の総称。資金計画と資金統制とに区分される。そこでは，資金管理の目的に応じて，現金，貨幣資産，総運転資本または正味運転資本などのいずれかが，資金概念として選択される。いずれの場合も，資金計画にあたっては，資金コストを予測･比較し，財務流動性や財務安全性を重視しながら，内部および外部の各種資金源泉からの資金の調達と，そのさまざまな運用形態との最も合理的な組合せが選択･決定されねばならない。
