The name of the lake in Uganda on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in eastern Central Africa. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo it is called Lake Mobutu. It has an area of 5,300 km2 and an elevation of 615m. It is one of the sources of the White Nile and is rich in fish. It was explored and named by S.
