Born: 1459 Edirne [Died] 1495. Prince of Mehmet II, the seventh Sultan of the Ottoman Empire of Naples. After his father's death, his brother Bayezid ascended to the throne, but fearing that he would be killed by his brother, he fought to seize the throne, but was defeated and fled to Europe. He was used in political struggles and died in Naples. His dramatic life has been the subject of poetry and literature. Gem |
