Mongolian military commander. Besut clan member. Childhood name was Zilguadai. He first opposed Genghis Khan and shot his horse, but later surrendered and was given the name Jebe (meaning "arrowhead"). From 1211 to 1216, he participated in the conquest of the Jin Dynasty. In 1218, he conquered Kuchluk Khan of the Naiman (barbarian) tribe in the Western Liao Dynasty. In 1219, he and Subutai (Quotai) led the vanguard of Genghis Khan's western expedition, pursuing the Khwarezmian king Alauddin Muhammad and entering the Caucasus. In cooperation with the Jochi (Red) army, they defeated the Kipchaks, and in 23, they defeated the combined army of southern Russian princes on the Kalka River, which flows into the Sea of ​​Azov, and reached the Crimean Peninsula on the Dnieper River. The conquered territories in the northwest of the Mongol Empire became Jochi's territory, and Jebe belonged to Jochi, but he died on the way back to his homeland.

モンゴルの武将。ベスット氏族の出身。幼名はジルグアダイ。最初チンギス・ハンに敵対してその乗馬を射殺し,のちに降伏してジェベ (「やじり」の意) の名を与えられたという。 1211~16年,金国の征伐に従軍。 18年,西遼に拠ったナイマン (乃蛮) 部のクチュルク・ハンを征服。 19年からのチンギス・ハンの西征にスブタイ (速不台)とともに先鋒としてホラズム・シャー朝の王アラー・ウッディーン・ムハンマドを追撃してカフカスに入り,ジョチ (朮赤)の軍と協力してキプチャクを破り,23年頃アゾフ海に注ぐカルカ河畔に南ロシア諸侯の連合軍を破り,ドニエプル川クリミア半島にまでいたった。モンゴル帝国北西部の征服地はジョチの所領となり,ジェベはジョチに属することとなったが,ジェベは本国へ引揚げる途中死んだ。
