On the way from Sankt Anton, famous for skiing, to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, the Ötztal, famous for the glittering glaciers of the Ötztal Alps, can be seen from the train window. The Ötztal is one of the largest valleys in the Eastern Alps and is also known as a treasure trove of ancient folklore.
