Ötztal - Ötztal

...The abundant water of the rivers makes Tyrol an important hydroelectric power generation area in Austria. On the way from Sankt Anton, famous for skiing, to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, the Ötztal, famous for the glittering glaciers of the Ötztal Alps, can be seen from the train window. The Ötztal is one of the largest valleys in the Eastern Alps and is also known as a treasure trove of ancient folklore. The majority of the inhabitants of Tyrol are Bavarians who came from the north in the 6th century, but Romance-speaking people came from the south and Alamanni from the northwest, and among them, people who are thought to be descendants of the ancient Celts remain, and it is said that the dialect, clothing, houses, and customs vary from valley to valley and village to village, corresponding to the diverse scenery of the valleys.
