An ophthalmologist in Baghdad active in the first half of the 11th century. Dates of birth and death unknown. His Latin name was Jesu Haly. He was likely a Christian. He was a member of the school of Hunayn bin Ishaq, and under his influence translated Greek medical books. His main work is the Memoirs of an Ophthalmologist, known in Latin as Liber memorialis opthalmicorum. It is divided into three parts: Anatomy of the Eye, Trauma, and Internal Injuries. 11世紀前半に活躍したバグダードの眼科医。生没年不詳。ラテン名はイェス・ハリーJesu Haly。キリスト教徒であったらしい。フナイン・ブン・イスハークの学統に連なり,彼の影響の下,ギリシア医学書の翻訳を行った。自身の主著に《眼科医の備忘録》があるが,これは《Liber memorialis opthalmicorum》というラテン語訳で知られている。3部に分かれ,眼の解剖学的構造,外傷,内傷とから成る。
