Years of birth: Years of birth and death unknown. An official in the Nara period. He was related to Otomo no Yakamochi and left many poems in the Manyoshu. In 738, he was a junior attendant at the Shungubo Junior Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and participated in a banquet hosted by Tachibana Naramaro in the same year. From 738 to the following year, he was in Etchu (Toyama Prefecture) as a shojo with Etchu no Kami Yakamochi, and they composed poems at banquets and other occasions, and when Yakamochi fell ill, he also exchanged poems with him. In 747, he was transferred to Echizen no Kami, but continued to communicate with Yakamochi in Etchu through 751. In 758, he was in Kyoto as a shoshin of the left capital, and traveled to Takamadono (Nara City) with Shonagon Yakamochi and others. In January 76, he composed a poem when Otomo no Ujimoto gathered at Yakamochi's house to celebrate the occasion and drink at a banquet. In 769, he appears to have been a shojo of Shikibu, but he took part in the Tachibana Naramaro Incident (757), was imprisoned, and lost contact with him. 生年:生没年不詳 奈良時代の官人。大伴家持と親接な同族で『万葉集』に多く歌を残す。天平10(738)年春宮坊少属従七位下。同年橘奈良麻呂の宴に参加した。18年から翌年にかけて越中守家持と共に掾として越中(富山県)にあり,宴などで共に歌を詠んだほか,家持が病臥したときに歌を贈答している。20年越前掾に転じても天平勝宝3(751)年にかけて越中の家持との間で交信している。5年には左京少進として京にあり,少納言家持らと高円野(奈良市)に遊んだ。6年1月大伴の氏人が家持宅に賀集し宴飲したときにも詠歌している。8年には式部少丞とみえるが,橘奈良麻呂の変(757)に加わり,禁獄され,消息を失う。 (佐藤信) 出典 朝日日本歴史人物事典:(株)朝日新聞出版朝日日本歴史人物事典について 情報 |
