Court Law - Saibanshoho

This law stipulates the Supreme Court and lower courts as stipulated in the Constitution of Japan. It was Act No. 59 of 1947. It is a basic law concerning the courts, and stipulates the structure of the Supreme Court, jurisdiction, the Grand Bench and Petty Bench, judicial administration affairs, the affiliated training institute, the structure of the High Court, jurisdiction, collegial system, judicial administration affairs, the structure of the District Court, jurisdiction, single-person system and collegial system, limitations on the authority of assistant judges, judicial administration affairs, the structure of the Family Court, jurisdiction, single-person system and collegial system, limitations on the authority of assistant judges, judicial administration affairs, the structure of the Summary Court, jurisdiction, single-person system, judicial administration affairs, as well as court staff and judicial trainees, and the handling of judicial affairs. Unlike the old Court Organization Act, the Public Prosecutor's Office was separated from the courts, and the Public Prosecutor's Office was established by the Public Prosecutor's Office Act.

日本国憲法に定める最高裁判所および下級裁判所について定めた法律。昭和22年法律第59号。裁判所に関する基本的な法律で、最高裁判所の構成、裁判権、大法廷・小法廷、司法行政事務、付属研修所、高等裁判所の構成、裁判権、合議制、司法行政事務、地方裁判所の構成、裁判権、一人制・合議制、判事補の職権の制限、司法行政事務、家庭裁判所の構成、裁判権、一人制・合議制、判事補の職権の制限、司法行政事務、簡易裁判所の構成、裁判権、一人制、司法行政事務、そのほか裁判所の職員および司法修習生、裁判事務の取扱いなどについて規定している。旧裁判所構成法とは異なって、裁判所から検察庁を分離し、検察庁は検察庁法によってこれを設置することになった。
