Saeki [town] - Saeki
An old town in Wake County in the southeast of Okayama Prefecture. The Yoshii River runs through the center. The central settlement of Saiki is on the right bank and flourished as the location of the camp of the Tsuchikura clan, a chief retainer of the Okayama domain, and as a river port on the Yoshii River. Matsutake mushrooms, dried gourd, and konnyaku are its specialties. Incorporated into Wake Town in March 2006. 60.34 km2 . 4,212 people (2003).

Saiki [town] [Saiki]

A former town in Saeki County in the southwest of Hiroshima Prefecture. The central settlement is located in the basin of the upper reaches of the Oze River. The town is mountainous and produces timber, so the woodworking industry is thriving. Rice and vegetables are cultivated, and dairy farming is also carried out. In March 2003, it was incorporated into Hatsukaichi City. Area: 194.83 km2 . Population: 12,620 (2000).
