Mount Goryu

Japanese: 五竜岳 - ごりゅうだけ

A mountain in the Hida Mountain Range, on the border between Nagano and Toyama prefectures. It is 2,814m above sea level. It is mainly composed of granite. Between it and Kashima-Yari-ga-take to the south is the rocky area of the Hachimine Kiretto, and to the southeast, the upper reaches of the Kashima River have deeply eroded the mountain, giving it a rugged appearance. Goryu Sanso is located on Shiradake, just north of the summit, and there is a hiking trail along the Tomi Ridge from Kamishiro in Hakuba Village on the eastern foot of the mountain. It belongs to Chubu Sangaku National Park.

長野・富山県境，飛騨山脈の後立山連峰にある山。標高 2814m。おもに花崗岩から成る。南方の鹿島槍ヶ岳との間には八峰キレットの岩場があり，南東は鹿島川上流が深く浸食して，けわしい山容を示す。山頂のすぐ北の白岳 (しらだけ) に五竜山荘があり，東麓の白馬村神城から遠見尾根伝いの登山路がある。中部山岳国立公園に属する。
