The title of an Argentine tango song. The title means "corn" in Spanish. The composer was Ángel Bujoldo. It was said to have been composed in 1905, but later documents were found indicating it was composed in 1903. There is no doubt that it was the first tango song to become known in Europe and Japan. In America, English lyrics were added in 1952, and it became a hit under the title "Kiss of Fire." It is a crisp and familiar song, typical of early tango, and is still often performed today.
