...The earliest records of the place name are the red annotations of the Wakasa Nakate Saigou Land Inspection Record Draft in March 1265 (Bun'ei 2) and the copy of the Wakasa Province Land Land Record Record in November of the same year (Toji Yuri Documents). In the Middle Ages, Obama belonged to Imatomi-yo (Imatomi-sho), which was a provincial tax office. This name was passed down to the Wakasa Shugo, who used it as his base of control, and it became the political and cultural center of the country, and also saw remarkable economic development as an important port. In the Kamakura period, the position of Shugo was passed down to the main line of the Hojo clan (Tokusou) after the early Tsutsumi clan, and during the Nanboku-cho period, the Shugo position was changed frequently, but after 1366 (Shohei 21, Joji 5), the Isshiki clan became Shugo for four generations. ...
