The major work of British economist JM Keynes. Published in 1936. Its publication sparked a wave of innovation in economics known as the Keynesian Revolution, and had a major impact on economic policy thinking in countries around the world after World War II. Economist JR Hicks has said that the third quarter of the mid-20th century will surely be regarded as the "Age of Keynes."
