A feeler gauge is a gauge used to measure the gap by inserting a thin piece of steel of known thickness into the gap. It is also called a feeler gauge. Generally, a combination feeler gauge is used, with 10 to 25 feeler gauges called leaves, each with a thickness of 0.03 mm to 3 mm.
