Written by Du Wenlan of the Qing Dynasty in China. 100 volumes. A collection of popular songs and proverbs (popular verses) from various books dating from ancient times to the Ming Dynasty. The collection ranges from classics and historical texts to novels and miscellaneous notes. Yang Shen and others of the Ming Dynasty had already attempted to compile old folk songs from classical texts based on the legend that the Book of Songs, especially its national style section, was based on poems collected from the people, but Du Wenlan's work is the most comprehensive of its kind. 中国，清の杜文瀾の著。100巻。古代より明にいたるまでの各種の書物の中から，謡(はやり歌)と諺(韻文によるはやり言葉)を集めた書。採集の範囲は，経書，史書から小説や雑記にまで及ぶ。《詩経》，特にその国風部分が民間からの採詩を基礎にでき上がっているという伝説にもとづいて古典籍の中から古い民間歌謡を集成しようとする仕事は，すでに明の楊慎らによって行われていたが，この杜文瀾の仕事が最も網羅的である。【小南一郎】
