Born: November 8, 1864, Petersburg
[Died] February 23, 1910. Tashkent Russian actress. Daughter of the famous opera singer Fyodor Petrovich (1838-1905), and sister of the British director T. Komissarzhevsky. After two years of touring, she opened the Komissarzhevskaya Theatre in St. Petersburg (04). She performed notable artistic activities, staging works by Gorky and Chekhov with delicate psychological depictions, but later became deeply interested in the symbolism of Maeterlinck and Sologub. She died during a tour. As an actress, she excelled in roles such as Margarete in Faust, Nora in Ibsen, and Hedda Gabler.
