What is the disease?

Occurs in the groin area Tinea fungus ( Ethical ) It is an infectious disease that occurs in approximately 5% of all tinea cases.

It often develops in people who already have tinea pedis, so leaving it untreated is the biggest problem. In the past, it was more prevalent in young people, but now it is more prevalent in the elderly. Poor hygiene and excessive sweating are also related to the condition.

How symptoms manifest

A semicircular erythema with a tendency to heal in the center, with a slightly elevated edge Blisters ( Water ) or Papule ( Emergency ) can be seen.

Testing and diagnosis

Direct microscopic examination (examination under a microscope) is performed using the KOH method. It is a disease in which bacterial elements are relatively easy to detect.

Treatment methods

It is basically treated with topical medication and is relatively easy to cure (ringworm).

What to do if you notice an illness

If not diagnosed and treated early, pigmentation will remain. It is important to distinguish this from eczema and cutaneous candidiasis, so please see a dermatologist.

どんな病気か

　股部に生じる白癬菌(はくせんきん)感染症で、頻度は全白癬患者の5％程度です。

　足(あし)白癬のある人に発症することが多いので、その放置が最も問題になります。以前は若い人に多かったのですが、現在は高齢者に多くみられます。不潔、多汗なども関係します。

症状の現れ方

　中心治癒傾向がある半円状の紅斑で、辺縁が少し隆起して水疱(すいほう)や丘疹(きゅうしん)がみられます。

検査と診断

　直接鏡検（顕微鏡での検査）KOH法で行います。菌要素を比較的検出しやすい病気です。

治療の方法

　基本的に外用治療で、比較的簡単に治ります（白癬）。

病気に気づいたらどうする

　早期に診断、治療しないと色素の沈着が残ります。湿疹、皮膚カンジダ症との区別が重要なので皮膚科専門医を受診してください。
