There are normal salts and hydrogen salts (ammonium hydrogen fluoride).

Chemical formula: NH ₄ F. It can be precipitated by adding ammonia to ice-cold hydrofluoric acid, or by heating a 4:9 mixture of ammonium chloride and sodium fluoride, or an equivalent mixture of ammonium sulfate and calcium fluoride, and then sublimated. Colorless hexagonal columnar crystals. Specific gravity: 1.009 (25°C). Refractive index: 1.315. It is deliquescent.

　化学式NH₄F。氷冷したフッ化水素酸にアンモニアを通じて析出させるか，塩化アンモニウムとフッ化ナトリウムの4：9混合物または硫酸アンモニウムとフッ化カルシウムの当量混合物を加熱し，昇華物として得られる。無色六方晶系の柱状晶。比重1.009(25℃)。屈折率1.315。潮解性がある。
