The abbreviation is Lyr. A constellation located in the summer Milky Way. In Greek mythology, it is modeled after an instrument made from a turtle shell, which was owned by the musician Orpheus. Alpha Vega is a bright star with a magnitude of 0.0 and a spectral type of A0. Its proper name is Vega, and it is famous in the East as the Vega star of Tanabata. Recent infrared observations suggest that there is a planetary system around this star. The faint object M57, located southeast of this star, is called the Ring Nebula, and is a planetary nebula 2,300 light years away that can be seen with a small telescope. Its approximate position is 18h45m in right ascension and +36° in declination.
