Japanese: 嵐吉三郎 - あらしきちさぶろう

Kabuki actor. There were seven generations, including the first, who passed away in 1973. (1) The first (1737-80, Genbun 2-An'ei 9): Haiku name: Ritsurara. First name: Takeda Kichisaburo. Born in the Osaka Takeda Theater. Became a disciple of Arashi Kanzaburo, and took the surname Arashi in 1758 (Horeki 8). He also served as a troupe leader from the Kaomise performances that same year. In 1776 (An'ei 5), he became the head of a troupe, and was a master of leading roles in Kyoto and Osaka plays. He played a variety of roles, including real roles, gentle roles, and older roles, and excelled in roles such as servants and men (otokodate), such as Yakatsumahira in Usuyuki Monogatari. (2) The second: Former name of the first Arashi Rikan.

歌舞伎俳優。1973年に没した7世まである。(1)初世(1737‐80∥元文2‐安永9)　俳名里環。初名竹田吉三郎。大坂竹田芝居の出身。嵐勘三郎に入門，1758年(宝暦8)嵐姓となる。この年の顔見世から座本もつとめた。76年(安永5)には座頭（ざがしら）となり，京坂の芝居で立役の名人として活躍した。実事･和事･老け役を兼ね，《薄雪物語》の奴妻平など，奴や男達（おとこだて）を得意とした。(2)2世　初世嵐璃寛の前名。
