Ratesystem

...the movement aimed to realize peace and overthrow the old system, and to realize the will of the masses in politics, and to democratize the authoritarian relations that had existed since the Second Empire in local government, factories, the military, etc. From this movement, the formation of a political and economic system (Räte system) to replace parliamentary democracy and capitalism was also proposed, and in some regions a (Räterepublik) was formed in which the Räte held political power. The connections with the Soviets in the Russian Revolution, the Tanacs in the Hungarian Revolution, the British shop stewards, the Italian factory council movement, as well as workers' self-management in Yugoslavia after World War II and the workers' councils in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, which were almost contemporaneous, are noteworthy, regardless of the differences in historical conditions.
