National Socialist Party

Japanese:
National Socialist Party
A political party founded in 1905 by Yamaji Aizan, Shiba Sadakichi, Nakamura Taihachiro and others. It was founded after the Russo-Japanese War to counter the group that founded the Japan Socialist Party in response to the oppression of the Heiminsha. It claimed that "the nation of Great Japan is one in which the emperor and subjects are united by the affection between family and father and son, and the cause of communal living is carried out through the power of the state," and set goals such as compulsory education, protection of workers, and the adoption of urban social policies, but its claim of "protecting and developing industry" was strongly criticized by the Heiminsha magazine, Naoki. As the representative of the party, Yamaji, rejected class struggle in his "Shakaishugi Kanken" (A View of Socialism) and debated with Sakai Toshihiko, this was not a socialist party, but an organization whose goal was social reform through the thorough implementation of social policies.
