Five types of economics - Wu-zhong jing-ji

Japanese: 五種経済 - ごしゅけいざい（英語表記）Wu-zhong jing-ji

The term refers to the five economic systems that existed in China during the transition to a socialist economy. These are the state-run economy with socialist characteristics that was newly created with the victory of the New Democratic Revolution, the private capitalist economy inherited from the old society, the individual economies of farmers and craftsmen that were created mainly after the land reform of 1950, the state capitalist (public-private joint) economy, which was a transitional form from a private capitalist economy to a socialist state-run economy, and the cooperative (cooperative) economy, which was a transition from the individual economies of farmers and craftsmen to a socialist economy. By the early 1960s, the country was basically made up of two systems: the state-run economy and the people's communes.
