A style of cursive writing. In China, toward the end of the Han dynasty, a style of cursive writing was developed in which each character was written slowly and separately, in contrast to the cursive writing that could be written quickly. This style is called the single cursive style, as opposed to the continuous style that was created later. It was passed down to Wang Xizhi's calligraphy.
