Koshikibu - Koshikibu

Japanese: 小式部 - こしきぶ

A female novelist in the mid-Heian period. She is said to be the author of "Osaka Koenu Gon Chunagon" from "Tsutsumi Chunagon Monogatari". This is because the name "Osaka Koenu Gon Chunagon" and the waka poem "Kimigayo no" are listed in the "Rokujo Saiin Monogatari Ago" (1055), and she is recorded as "Koshikibu". However, the story of this "Koshikibu" is unclear, and there are two theories: one that she was the daughter of Shimotsuke no Kami Yoshitada, and the other that she was Junior Third Rank Takako, the daughter of Kii no Kami Minamoto no Michitoki, but there are problems with each theory and it is difficult to determine.

平安時代中期の女流物語作者。『堤中納言物語』のうちの『逢坂越えぬ権中納言』の作者とされる。『六条斎院物語合』 (1055) のなかに『逢坂越えぬ権中納言』の名と「きみがよの」の和歌をあげ，「こしきぶ」と記していることによる。しかし，この「小式部」の伝は未詳で，従来，下野守義忠女とみる説や，紀伊守源致時女従三位隆子とみる説があるが，それぞれ問題があって定めがたい。
