As Christianity spread throughout the world, its uncompromising nature led to persecution by societies and nations with different religions and customs. Here, we will discuss the persecution suffered by early Christians under the Roman Empire, which is said to be the most severe in the history of Christianity. Since the early Christian community was established, believers have been persecuted by Jewish authorities and the people of Greek cities. Stephen's martyrdom and Paul's persecution of Christians before his conversion are already recorded in the Book of Acts.
