Gohara - Gogen

A county in the central part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. It belongs to Bayinnor City and lies on the Houtao Plain. It has a population of 281,408 (2014). It faces the Yellow River to the south, and the Baotou-Lanzhou Line connects to the southern part of the county. Bayinnor Tianjitai Airport, which opened in 2011, is located in the southwest of the county. Many irrigation canals run through the county, including the Wujia River, which draws water from the Yellow River, and irrigation agriculture is thriving. Wheat, rice, foxtail millet, millet, edible flax, and sugar beet are cultivated, and livestock such as goats are raised, and the county is also known for carp production. Originally a nomadic area of ​​the Mongolian tribe, the Urat, it was cultivated by agricultural immigrants in the early 20th century, towards the end of the Qing Dynasty, and became an agricultural area. The Wuyuan Prefecture was established there, and in 1912 it became Wuyuan County.

中国、内モンゴル自治区中部の県。バインノル市に属し、後套(こうとう)平原上にある。人口28万1408（2014）。南は黄河(こうが)に臨み、包蘭線（パオトウ―蘭州(らんしゅう)）が県域南部に通じる。県南西部には2011年開港のバインノル天吉泰空港がある。黄河の水を引くウジヤ河をはじめ、多くの用水路が県内を縦横に貫流し、灌漑(かんがい)農業が盛んである。小麦、米、アワ、キビ、食油用アマ、サトウダイコンが栽培され、ヤギをはじめとする牧畜も行われるほか、コイの生産でも知られる。もとモンゴルの部族烏喇特(ウラト)部の遊牧地であったが、清(しん)朝末期の20世紀初頭に農業移民の手で開墾されて農業地帯となり、五原庁が置かれ、1912年五原県となった。
