The common name for the International Exhibition of Modern Art, held for about a month from February 1913 at the indoor training grounds (Armory) of the 69th Infantry Regiment in New York. This exhibition consisted of an American section and a European section, with a total of over 1,600 pieces on display. The European section was the first to fully introduce Fauvism and Cubism, which had a major impact on the American art world. The essence of the impact was in the fact that it highlighted the backwardness of American art as a whole, and it had a decisive impact on young artists.
