Koori [town] - Koori
A town in Date County in the northern part of the Fukushima Basin in northern Fukushima Prefecture. The main settlement developed as a post station at the junction of the Oshu Kaido and Ushu Kaido roads, and the Tohoku Main Line runs through it. During the feudal era, it prospered due to the Handa Silver Mine. There are silk reeling and food factories. It produces apples and peaches. The town suffered damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. 42.97 km2 . 12,853 people (2010).

福島県北部，福島盆地北部の伊達(だて)郡の町。主集落は奥州街道と羽州街道の分岐点に当たる宿駅として発達，東北本線が通じる。藩政時代半田銀山で栄えた。製糸，食品工場がある。リンゴ，モモを産する。東日本大震災で，町内において被害が発生。42.97km2。１万2853人（2010）。
