Xing-long Ruins (English name)

Japanese: 興隆遺跡 - こうりゅういせき（英語表記）Xing-long

The Yan Ironworks Site from the Warring States Period is located in Xinglong County, Hebei Province, China. It was discovered in 1953, and 87 iron molds were excavated. A partial investigation was carried out the following year. The molds discovered included hoes, spades, sickles, axes, chisels, and tools, making it clear that the advanced technology of producing cast ironware using iron metal molds already existed during the Warring States Period.

中国河北省興隆県にある戦国時代の燕の製鉄遺跡。 1953年に発見され，87点の鉄製鋳型が出土し，翌年に一部調査が行われた。発見された鋳型には鍬，鋤，鎌，斧，鑿，車具などの笵があり，鉄製の金属鋳型を用いて鋳造鉄器を製作するという高度の技術が，戦国時代にすでに存在していたことが明らかとなった。
