Choanocyte

...The thicker the body wall, the more complex the channels become. The inner wall of the stomach cavity is densely lined with choanocytes, each with a single flagellum. The flagellum moves to generate water currents and capture tiny food particles that enter the stomach at the same time. Excess water is then expelled from the large pore at the top of the mouth, repeating a constant directional circulation.
