Japanese: 高野山文書 - こうやさんもんじょ

A general term for ancient documents handed down to Kongobu-ji Temple on Mount Koya and its various sub-temples. The most important of these are the collections known as the Hokanshu, Zoku Hokanshu, and Yuzoku Hokanshu, which consist of 54 volumes and 692 documents, 77 volumes and 6 volumes and 831 documents, and Yuzoku Hokanshu, which consists of 167 volumes and 9 volumes and 1,979 documents. These were selected from the ancient documents stored in the Gokaido Treasure House and compiled in sequence during the Edo period. The scrolls are bound in different ways, but some are so elegant that they are said to have been made from cloth used for the costumes used in Noh performances during Toyotomi Hideyoshi's pilgrimage to Koya.

高野山金剛峯寺ならびに山内の各子院に伝来した古文書の総称。このうち最も重要なものが宝簡集，続宝簡集，又続（ゆうぞく）宝簡集と呼ばれる文書群で，宝簡集54巻692通，続宝簡集77巻･6帖831通，又続宝簡集167巻･9帖1979通からなっている。これらは，御影堂宝庫に納められていた古文書のうちから江戸時代に主要なものを選び出して順次成巻(成帖)されたもので，巻子の表装はまちまちであるが，なかには豊臣秀吉の高野詣の際に演じられた能の衣装の裂地を使用したと伝える優美なものもある。
