It was created in the late Muromachi period. It is a heroic tale with Yuriwakadaijin as the protagonist. After a great victory in a naval battle, Yuriwakadaijin falls asleep while resting on an isolated island in the Genkai on his way back, and is left behind by the evil scheme of his retainers, the Beppu brothers. Later, Yuriwakadaijin returns home in a fisherman's boat that was washed ashore on the island, punishes the Beppu brothers who ruled Kyushu, and then goes to Kyoto to become the Shogun of Japan. Later, it was also told as a sekkyo-bushi (a type of Japanese folk song), and influenced joruri plays such as "Yuriwakadaijin no mori no kagami" (The Mirror of the Lily Minister in the Fields) by Chikamatsu Monzaemon. It is also called "Daijin." [2] (From the story in (1)) The act of falling asleep without knowing what was going on before or after.
