Amla Culture - Amla Culture

Japanese: アムラ文化 - アムラぶんか
Amla Culture - Amla Culture
Predynastic Egyptian culture (the period when both Chalcolithic and Achaetolithic cultures were used). It was found in the upper reaches of the Nile, at al-Amra and Naqada, and was distributed from Asyut in Middle Egypt in the north to Aswan in the south. It developed from the Badari culture in the 4th millennium BC, and is also called the Naqada I culture, and transitioned into the Gerze culture that followed. It is characterized by white cross-line pattern pottery, which is red pottery with patterns painted with white pigment, and fish-tail and diamond-shaped knives made of flint. Slate palettes (decorative panels) and ivory combs with designs of animals and birds were produced.
