A Chinese literary figure from the Six Dynasties period. Born in Kaocheng (Henan Province). Character and literary. He served under the Song, Qi, and Liang dynasties, and during the Liang dynasty he became a Jin Zi Guanglu Daifu. He studied hard despite his poverty, and made a name for himself with his writing at a young age. His poetry and prose have a clear and cool style, but his works "Han Fu" and "Bie Fu" in particular are masterpieces of Six Dynasties fu, which take abstract emotions as their subject matter and are filled with deep emotion within precise descriptions.

中国，六朝時代の文学者。考城 (河南省) の人。字，文通。宋，斉，梁の3代に仕え，梁のとき金紫光禄大夫にいたった。貧困のなかで勉学に励み，若くして文章で名をあげた。詩文に清冽な風格をもつが，特に『恨賦』『別賦』は，抽象的な感情を題材として，精緻な描写のうちに深い情緒をこめ，六朝の賦の一方の代表作となっている。
